Agriculture in Greenland III 2/2

The sheep are grazing freely in the mountain from May to October, in remote areas far from the farms - and the animals live from the abundant mountain pastures.

The sheep are gathered by the farmers during autumn, where vast mountain areas are inspected - on foot, on horseback or ATV’s. In areas where there is only one farm, the local sheep farmer alone must arrange the mustering and often calls in extra staff from towns and settlements.
