TELE-POST donates DKK 100,000 to Nakuusa and Unicef
Every year TELE-POST donates the surplus from the sale of an additional value stamp to a charitable or cultural purpose. This year TELE-POST has chosen to support an initiative that focuses on children and youngsters.
Yesterday presented TELE-POSTs Philatelic Manager Allan Pertti Frandsen a check of 100,000 to Nakuusa and Unicef. The money is from the sale of a particular additional value stamp that was issued in January 2012 and that was designed by artist Camilla Nielsen.
“It is crucial for the future of Greenland that we give children and young people the best conditions. Therefore we have decided to donate 100,000 to Nakuusa and Unicef”, explains Philatelic Manager Allan Pertti Frandsen.
He handed over the check to Susie Marthin Kjeldsen from Nakuusa and Arnavaraq Jørgensen from UNICEF. Nakuusa is a project that the Government and UNICEF Denmark established in 2010 to strengthen children's rights and conditions in Greenland. The aim is to create the best possible opportunities for children's growth and development.
