Stamp collectors from all over the Nordic region flocked to Lillestrom in Norway to spend three days engrossed in stamp designs.

Norway is the second largest market for Greenlandic stamps and this fact was clearly demonstrated during the annual Nordic stamp exhibition, NORDIA, which took place in Lillestrøm just north of Oslo.

NORDIA 2014 was organised by the Norwegian Filatelist forbund in cooperation with Norway Post. TELE-POST participated in the joint Nordic stand with the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Åland.

Greenlandic stamps were eagerly sought after, and the Year Pack and the book entitled ‘Twelve Greenland expeditions 1818 -1978’ (which TELE-POST released earlier this month) were very popular.

“ It's important to us that we meet customers in our second largest market and hear their views about our stamps”  said Philatelic Manager at TELE-POST Allan Pertti Frandsen.  “ It's only every six years that the NORDIA exhibition is held in  Norway, so for us it is important to take the opportunity to serve our Norwegian customers in person  and maybe obtain some new collectors in Norway too”.

“ Animal stamp images and historical designs are in high demand amongst the Norwegian collectors and these themes are widely covered in both this year's and next year's stamp programmes”, said a satisfied Allan Pertti Frandsen, who added that “TELE-POST’s 2015 stamp programme will be ready for publication just before Christmas”.
